Volunteer of the month
Christopher TANDU traveled to Calgary in 2021 to visit the Rockies. Unfortunately, following the pandemic, the activity was very low, thus he went to Toronto, ON.
He graduated with a Master’ Degree in International Purchasing from the University d’Évry Val d’Essonne (France). At work, as an international buyer, he has always tried to practice several languages, such as French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, or even Lingala.
He is currently in Portugal for work. However, despite the distance, he continues to support the ACFA of Calgary and other Canadian organizations as a volunteer, in translation, proofreading or even in online tutoring for people wishing to learn and/or practice French.
He is happy and proud to see that his language skills can be helpful. Indeed, he feels useful to all communities.
Volunteering has allowed him to improve his general knowledge and vocabulary, in English and French.
